My name is Johnathon Waples and for the past few years I have been developing my career and working my way into film and games industry. In that time I have finalised my educational studies in London, gaining a bachelor of arts in ’Games Design & Film and Television Studies’. I have also established my position as a prominent member of the video games community, worked within various freelance positions, developed projects and built key relationships with known industry professionals, fellow film makers and journalists alike.
I have always been a lover of cinema and video games, ever since my childhood my passion for entertainment and media has never changed. The drive and ambition I have for creating content that people can engage in, consume and enjoy is constantly growing. My creative flair and ability to create bespoke content is reflected in the feedback I receive from my work.
The ‘auteuristic’ attention to detail I bring to the creative process of that exact professional and personal work I undertake is always paid off in the joy & pleasure I get from seeing people enjoy the final product. This is what keeps me focused, ambitious and striving to develop & continue a future career for myself.
In the past I have appeared in a national television advert for Microsoft Xbox. Produced content for games journalism websites. Presented on-camera items for online broadcasters. Attended trade and private press events. Been commissioned to produce interviews, videos & documentaries and worked in editorial writing news and reviews.
I also enjoy playing the drums, drinking coffee and gaming. I originate from the south-west and currently live in London. I’m always looking at new and interesting prospects. So feel free to look around at the other areas of the website.
